Physics

Physics requires that you take Calculus I and II, as well as other advanced math courses, as major requirements.

If you have done or will do any of the following, then you will likely not need to take the MPA:

Earn college credit in a Calculus course with a grade of C- or better
Score a 2, 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Calculus exam
Score a 2, 3, 4, or 5 on the AP Pre-Calculus exam
Earn college credit in a Pre-Calculus I or Pre-Calculus II course which transfers directly as MATH 114 or MATH 115 according to the Transfer Course Equivalency Guide with a grade of C- or better
Earn college credit in a Pre-Calculus 2 course which transfers as a Western equivalent of MATH 1TT according to the Transfer Course Equivalency Guide or is from a school not listed in the Transfer Course Equivalency Guide with a grade of C+ or better
Earn college credit in a College Algebra course with a grade of C- or better
For college credit earned through International Baccalaureate (IB) exams in Mathematics, please see the IB Credit Table

If none of the above applies to you, you will likely need to take the MPA.
