The NW Washington Medical Society Scholarship was established for pre-med students at Western Washington University (WWU). A scholarship in the approximate amount of $1,800 will be awarded per academic year to a qualified WWU student who is pursuing a pre-med pathway.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a curriculum in preparation to attend medical school
- Completion of 90 or more credits
- “B” grades or better in Chemistry 351, Physics 114 or 161, and Biology 206
- Minimum 3.5 GPA

Selection is based on demonstration of significant financial need (as defined by FAFSA or WASFA), exceptional academic credentials, and a strong motivation to become a physician. Two scholarships in the approximate amount of $2250 each will be awarded per academic year to two qualifying WWU students.

The Harold and Lyla Lant Scholarship Endowment was established to encourage and reward students pursuing a career as a lawyer. It is the intent of the scholarship to continue Harold Lant’s legacy of intellect, dedication, and integrity within the legal profession.
A scholarship in the approximate amount of $1,850 will be awarded per academic year to a qualified WWU student.
Eligibility and Criteria:
- The Lant Scholarship shall be awarded to students who are pursuing careers as lawyers.
- Academic performance, leadership, extracurricular activities, ethics, and integrity are factors that shall weigh heavily in the selection process.
